Virginia here we come!!!

So the last 3 months have been very exciting for the McGourtys!!! As most of you know, Daniel started NSI up in Rhode Island in February, but luckily was able to stop in Florida (where I have been) on his way from Guam to RI! We were able to enjoy some quality time as a family and he enjoyed being an Unkie Daniel Duck which he has officially been dubbed by Maddie our niece because of his near perfect impression of Donald Duck, which she just LOVES!!! Now, he is no longer Unkie Daniel, he is always referred to as, Unkie Daniel Duck!!!

Once Daniel left I began house hunting up in Norfolk where we received official orders (Old Dominion University- Hampton Roads ROTC). During the last weekend of February I took a trip up to Norfolk and in 3 days searched, found and bought a house!!! As many can imagine, March flew by and before I knew it the 3 dogs and I were loaded up in the Camry and headed North on I-95 and Florida was in the rear view mirror!! Now I am sitting in my empty, but wonderful, quaint, and perfect 3 bedroom 2 bath house waiting on the military to decide when they want to deliver my household goods!!! I know all you military folks know how that goes.

So, for those in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area, the McGourtys have arrived... well, at least I have with the dogs- the furniture should make it in the next few days and Daniel will be here by April 19^th (he graduates NSI on April 18^th). Obviously these were taken before I moved in because I still don't have furniture!! I have already started doing little projects around the house- so I will continue to post before and after pictures! We did buy in Norfolk- in Colonial Place, it is a great neighborhood and I love my neighbors already!!! Once I get furniture visitors are highly recommended!!!
